Steven L. Ware, PhD, is ordained in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and is currently the pastor of Family of Faith Lutheran Church in Middletown, New York. He is the former Professor of Historical Theology at Alliance University in New York City, and has taught in the academic setting for more than twenty years. Pastor Ware is the author of two books including When was Jesus Really Born?: Early Christianity, the Calendar, and the Life of Jesus (Concordia Publishing House, 2013), and numerous other chapters and journal articles. Pastor Ware and his wife, Rebecca, have three children and two grandchildren. He is also an avid cyclist.
