Dr. Kenneth Doka, Ph.D, is a graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and was ordained as a Lutheran pastor in 1973. Throughout his career as a college professor, Pastor Doka served as a pastor in a series of congregations in New York and Connecticut as a vacancy pastor and as a worker-priest.
Dr. Doka is a Professor Emeritus at the Graduate School
of the College of New Rochelle and Senior Vice-President
for grief programs of the Hospice Foundation of America.
Dr. Doka was a co-author of Dying and Death: Life & Living
and has authored or edited nearly 40 books and over 100
articles and chapters.
Dr. Doka's newest book, The Edge of Forever, explores
extraordinary experiences around death and dying.
Dr. Doka is the editor of both Omega: The Journey of Death
and Dying and Journeys: A Newsletter to Help in Bereavement.
Dr. Doka has an ongoing blog on Psychology Today titled
Good Mourning.
Pastor Doka has one son, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren who live near him in Poughkeepsie, New York. He enjoys swimming, skiing, and scuba diving.

Church Administrator
